Our April 1% will improve health & nutrition for 450 children under 2 in Bangladesh, through innovative mobile technology & access to health services. We will be supporting United Purpose on their project to reach 38,400 pregnant and lactating women and children under two with access to nutrition services in the Bhola, Laxmipur and Noakhali districts. Extensive research has shown the undisputed importance of good nutrition within the first 1,000 days of life, from conception to two years of age. Our contribution will be used to train 20 ‘Community Nutrition Promoters’ to share their knowledge on nutrition with local households. It will be used to establish a rural Women’s Information Centre with female entrepreneurs who will be given support and training to set up a ‘one-stop-shop’ for access to health services AND it will help develop an App to identify at-risk families, providing a crucial link to the facility.

United Purpose, previously known as Concern Universal, is an international development charity with an innovative community-led approach to delivering the Sustainable Development Goals and eradicating global poverty and inequality.
