Our November 1% will mean a meal in a place of education for 912 children.
We sponsor 3 schools with Mary's Meals providing lunch for 812 children in Malawi and Liberia. We fundraise over 2 months a year to reach this goal, and have had such a phenomenal year that we can now give Mary's Meals enough to feed an extra 100 kids across their programme.
This simple daily meal is positive for the children on many levels. It helps to improve attendance, reduces hunger and improves nutrition. It's also proven to improve learning and test results, bringing life-long benefits to the children.
Mary’s Meals is an international movement that sets up school feeding projects in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education. The charity now feeds over 2.4 million children every school day and it costs just £19.15 to feed a child for a school year. We sponsored our first school with Mary’s Meals in 2011 and have been working with them ever since
